Car
If you're traveling by car, head to the D973 road from your location in Luberon. Follow the signs for Mérindol. Once you reach the outskirts of the village, look for signs directing you to 'Vieux château de Mérindol'. There is limited parking available near the castle, so be prepared to walk a short distance from the parking area to the castle entrance.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transport, take a train from your current location in Luberon to the closest train station, which is in Pertuis or Cavaillon. From either of these stations, you can take a local bus (line 16 or line 17 from Pertuis, or line 26 from Cavaillon) towards Mérindol. Once you arrive in Mérindol, it’s a short 15-minute walk to Vieux château de Mérindol. Follow the signs or use a map app to guide you through the village.
Walking
If you are already in Mérindol, simply walk towards the center of the village. The Vieux château is located on a hill just above the main square. Follow the path up, which is well-marked with signs. The walk will take approximately 20 minutes and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes.
