From Lyon, head to the Lyon Part-Dieu train station. You can take the metro Line B from anywhere in the city to the Part-Dieu station. Once at Part-Dieu, purchase a train ticket to Meximieux-Perouges. The train journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Meximieux-Perouges station, exit the station and follow the signs for Pérouges, which is about a 30-minute walk (approximately 2.5 km). Head northeast on Rue de la Gare, then turn left onto Route de Pérouges, continuing straight until you reach the historic village.

From Lyon, take the metro Line A to Perrache station. At Perrache, catch bus line 182 towards Meximieux. The bus ride will take about 50 minutes. Get off at the Pérouges stop. From there, it’s a short walk to the entrance of the medieval village. Follow the signs to Rue de la Prte d'en Haut, which leads directly into the heart of Pérouges.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Lyon. Start your journey from Parc de la Tête d'Or, cycling towards the north. Follow the D1084 road, which will lead you directly to Pérouges. The ride is approximately 30 km and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Be sure to follow the cycling paths and be cautious of traffic.
