Car
If you're traveling by car, start by driving towards the southern part of Marseille. Use GPS navigation to set your destination to 'Calanque de Sormiou'. From the center of Marseille, take the A50 highway towards 'La Ciotat'. Exit at 'Marseille' and follow the signs for 'Calanques'. You will arrive at the entrance of the Calanque de Sormiou parking area. Be aware that there is a parking fee of approximately €5 per day. After parking, you will need to walk about 30 minutes along the trail to reach the calanque itself.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the metro Line 2 from any station in Marseille to 'Sainte-Marguerite Dromel' station. From there, transfer to bus line 21 towards 'Les Baumettes'. Get off at the stop 'Calanque de Sormiou'. The bus ticket costs around €1.70. Once you get off the bus, you will need to walk for approximately 15-20 minutes along the designated path to reach the calanque.
