Walking
From the Vieux-Port (Old Port), walk north along the Quai du Port towards the Hôtel de Ville (City Hall). Continue past the City Hall, keeping the harbor on your right. You'll see the Fort Saint-Jean complex ahead. Follow the signs for the MuCEM and Fort Saint-Jean. Cross the footbridge connecting the Old Port area to the Fort. Once inside the Fort Saint-Jean complex, Place d'Armes is the main esplanade within the fort walls. The walk from the Vieux-Port is approximately 10-15 minutes and offers scenic views.

Take Metro Line 1 to Vieux-Port station. Exit the station and walk towards the Quai du Port (harbor). Follow the walking directions above from the Vieux-Port. Alternatively, take bus lines 49, 60, 82, 82S, or 83 to the 'Mucem Saint Jean' or 'Fort Saint Jean' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of Fort Saint-Jean and Place d'Armes. A single RTM ticket costs €1.70. Consider purchasing a 24-hour pass for €5.20 if you plan to use public transport extensively.
