The walk takes approximately 20 minutes and passes by other historical sites, artisan shops and viewpoints. Be prepared for a strenuous uphill climb. A small road train is available from May to September from the lower town to the gates of the medieval city for those who prefer not to walk. The Maison du Grand Veneur is located on Grand Rue Raimond VII, a short walk from the top of Grande Rue de l'Horloge.

If arriving by train at Cordes-Vindrac station (5km from Cordes-sur-Ciel), take the Line 707 bus to Cordes-sur-Ciel. The bus will drop you off at the foot of the city on Avenue du 8 Mai 1945. From there, follow the walking directions above. Bus fare is approximately €2-3. A taxi from the train station to Cordes-sur-Ciel costs around €15-20.
