Walking
If you are near the Montpellier train station (Gare de Montpellier Saint-Roch), exit the station and head southwest on Rue de la République. Continue straight for about 800 meters until you reach Place de la Comédie. You will pass by several shops and cafes along the way. The square will be directly in front of you, with the iconic Opéra Comédie building on one side.
Tram
From any point in Montpellier, you can take the tram to reach Place de la Comédie. If you are at the central tram hub (Gare Saint-Roch), board Tram Line 1 (the blue line) in the direction of Odysseum. Get off at the Comédie stop, which will take about 5 minutes. Once you exit the tram, you will find yourself directly in the square.
Walking
If you are staying in the historic center of Montpellier, like near Place de la Canourgue, head southeast towards Rue de la Loge. Walk along Rue de la Loge until you reach Place de la Comédie, which is approximately a 10-minute walk. You will find various shops and cafes lining your path.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations around Montpellier. Start from the nearest station and head towards Place de la Comédie by following the bike lanes. The route is mostly flat and takes about 10-15 minutes depending on your starting point.
