Train
To reach Pl. des Arènes in Nîmes from Montpellier, start by heading to the Montpellier Saint-Roch train station. You can get there by walking or taking the tram Line 1 (the blue line) to the end station. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Nîmes. Trains run regularly, so check the schedule upon arrival. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Nîmes train station, exit the station and head straight down the main road, Rue de la République. Continue walking until you reach the Place de la République, then take a right onto Rue de l'Horloge. Follow this street until you see the Pl. des Arènes ahead.
Bus
You can also take a bus from Montpellier to Nîmes. Go to the Montpellier bus station, which is located near the city center. Look for the bus line that goes directly to Nîmes, such as the Lio bus service. Purchase your ticket at the counter or from the bus driver. The bus ride may take around 1 hour, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Nîmes bus station, exit and walk towards the city center. Head straight down Rue de la République until reaching Place de la République, then turn right onto Rue de l'Horloge. Pl. des Arènes will be straight ahead.
