Getting There

  • Tram

    From the city center, head to the nearest tram station, 'Commerce'. Take the Line 1 tram (the yellow line) towards 'François Mitterrand'. After 5 stops, get off at 'Médiathèque'. From there, exit the station and walk straight for about 5 minutes, crossing the Pont de la Tortière. Follow the signs to île de Versailles, which will be on your right.

  • Bus

    You can catch the bus line 12 from 'Place Royale' towards 'Rond-Point de Vannes'. After 7 stops, get off at 'Mairie de Nantes'. From there, walk towards the river and find the path leading to île de Versailles, which is about a 10-minute walk along the riverbank.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk, start from the Château des Ducs de Bretagne in the city center. Head west towards the river Loire, and then follow the riverbank north. You will walk through the lovely Parc des Chantiers and then cross the Pont de la Tortière to reach île de Versailles. The walk is approximately 30 minutes and offers beautiful views of the river.
