If you are in the city center, start at the famous Les Halles de Nîmes (the covered market). From Les Halles, head southeast on Rue de la Madeleine. Continue straight until you reach Place d'Assas. From here, turn left onto Rue de la République and walk until you reach the intersection with Boulevard de la Liberté. Turn right and continue straight; you will see the Canal de la Fontaine ahead.
