If you are driving, you can easily reach Arbre de la liberté by taking the A84 motorway. From Caen, take the A84 towards Cherbourg. Exit at Carentan (exit 40) and follow signs for D972 towards Sainte-Marie-du-Mont. Continue on D972 for about 10 km until you reach Sainte-Marie-du-Mont. Once in the town, look for Brèche des Chars, where you'll find Arbre de la liberté at number 3. There is free parking available in the vicinity.

To reach Arbre de la liberté using public transport, you can take a train from Caen to Carentan. The train journey takes about 1 hour. Upon arrival at Carentan station, you can catch bus line 8 towards Sainte-Marie-du-Mont. Get off at the stop 'Sainte-Marie-du-Mont - Église', which is approximately a 10-minute walk from Arbre de la liberté. Walk southeast on Rue de l'Église, turn left onto Rue des Chars, and continue to Brèche des Chars where the site is located.
