Car
From Tarbes, take the D935 road towards Lourdes. Continue on D935 for about 14 kilometers until you reach the town of Saint-Pé-de-Bigorre. Follow the signs for Grottes de Bétharram, which will lead you to Chemin Leon Ross. The caves are approximately 2 kilometers from the town center. Parking is available on-site, and it is free of charge.
Public Transportation
Take a train from Toulouse to Lourdes. The journey will take approximately 2 hours. Once in Lourdes, you can take a local bus (Ligne 10) that runs to Saint-Pé-de-Bigorre. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Chemin Leon Ross, and follow the signs to Grottes de Bétharram, which is about a 15-minute walk. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as service may vary.
Bicycling
If you are feeling adventurous, you can bike from Lourdes to Grottes de Bétharram. The route is approximately 10 kilometers and is mostly downhill. Follow the D935 road until you reach Saint-Pé-de-Bigorre, then take Chemin Leon Ross to the caves. Make sure to wear a helmet and have proper biking gear. There are no dedicated bike lanes, so proceed with caution.
