The park's name honors the Oberthür family, particularly François-Charles Oberthür and his wife, Marie Hamelin.Originally a private garden for the Oberthür family, the park opened to the public in 1977. It features a variety of trees, including magnificent oaks, wild cherry trees, beeches, and poplars. The park also includes landscaped gardens and open grassy areas, perfect for relaxation and recreation.Today, Park Hamelin Oberthur provides a serene escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks, picnics, and the park's family-friendly atmosphere. The park also hosts local events and exhibitions.
