Our guide was very friendly and pleasant, though she tended to speak rather softly and maintained a generally reserved manner. Of course, this is a matter of personal style, but a slightly livelier or more engaging delivery would have made the experience even more stimulating. The historical overview was solid and informative, with a particular emphasis on churches and religious heritage. Personally, I would have appreciated a bit more insight into modern Rennes, along with a few hidden alleyways, anecdotes, or local insider tips to round out the picture. The tour ended somewhat abruptly; a short wrap‑up with directions, restaurant suggestions, or recommendations for further exploration would have been a nice touch. Despite the relatively high price, the walk provided a good overall introduction to Rennes and served as a helpful starting point for my two‑day stay in the capital of Brittany.
