Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Strasbourg city center, take tram line E to the 'Parlement Européen' stop, which is located directly outside the European Parliament. Tram tickets can be purchased at any kiosk or on the CTS app. A single ticket costs €1.90 and is valid for one hour. Alternatively, bus line H also serves the 'Parlement Européen' stop. Bus tickets can be purchased from the driver for €2.50.

  • Walking

    From the Parc de l'Orangerie, EUROPA-Quest is a short walk across the Avenue de l'Europe. Exit the park on the south side and cross the avenue to reach the forecourt of the Council of Europe, where the game begins. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes and is well-signposted.

  • Taxi/Ride-Share

    Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber are available throughout Strasbourg. A taxi ride from the city center to the European Parliament typically costs between €11 and €13 and takes approximately 5 minutes. Note that Uber may not always be available.

EUROPA-Quest, launched by the Council of Europe, is an engaging and free outdoor game that invites visitors to explore the European district of Strasbourg. This interactive experience guides participants through the area, highlighting the key buildings and activities of the Council of Europe. The quest begins on the forecourt of the Council of Europe, located on Avenue de l'Europe, opposite the Parc de l'Orangerie. Players simply need a smartphone to scan a QR code and launch the game, available in both French and English. A virtual guide then leads participants to discover five emblematic buildings: the Palais de l'Europe, the Palais des Droits de l'Homme, the Agora, the EDQM, and optionally, the Centre de la Jeunesse. Along the way, players encounter quizzes, puzzles, and other challenges that test their knowledge and allow them to collect the 12 stars of the European flag. The game, which takes about an hour to complete and covers a distance of one kilometer, is perfect for families and friends looking for a unique and educational experience. It offers a chance to learn about the Council of Europe's mission to uphold human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. While exploring the European Quarter, visitors can also appreciate the architectural significance of the buildings and the overall atmosphere of this important district.
