EUROPA-Quest: Discovering European Strasbourg

EUROPA-Quest, launched by the Council of Europe, is an engaging and free outdoor game that invites visitors to explore the European district of Strasbourg. This interactive experience guides participants through the area, highlighting the key buildings and activities of the Council of Europe. The quest begins on the forecourt of the Council of Europe, located on Avenue de l'Europe, opposite the Parc de l'Orangerie. Players simply need a smartphone to scan a QR code and launch the game, available in both French and English. A virtual guide then leads participants to discover five emblematic buildings: the Palais de l'Europe, the Palais des Droits de l'Homme, the Agora, the EDQM, and optionally, the Centre de la Jeunesse. Along the way, players encounter quizzes, puzzles, and other challenges that test their knowledge and allow them to collect the 12 stars of the European flag. The game, which takes about an hour to complete and covers a distance of one kilometer, is perfect for families and friends looking for a unique and educational experience. It offers a chance to learn about the Council of Europe's mission to uphold human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. While exploring the European Quarter, visitors can also appreciate the architectural significance of the buildings and the overall atmosphere of this important district. The European Parliament, with its distinctive glass facade and semi-circular Hemicycle, is a major landmark.
