St. Thomas Church: A Gothic Masterpiece in Strasbourg

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the city center near Place Kléber, start by heading southwest towards Rue des Grandes Arcades. Continue along Rue des Grandes Arcades until you reach the junction with Rue de la Mésange. Turn left onto Rue de la Mésange and walk straight until you reach Place de la République. From there, continue straight onto Rue du Maire Kuss, which will lead you directly towards the river. Cross the bridge over the Ill River and follow the road as it curves left onto Rue de l'Abreuvoir. After a short walk, you will see St. Thomas Church on your left at 11 Rue Martin Luther.

• Tram

  Take Tram Line A from any central tram stop, such as Homme de Fer, towards the station 'L'Esplanade'. Get off at the 'Homme de Fer' stop. From there, walk towards Rue des Grandes Arcades and continue as described above in the walking instructions. Alternatively, take Tram Line D towards 'Poteries' and get off at 'Langstross Grand' stop. Walk along Rue des Écrivains and turn right onto Rue Martin Luther, where you will find St. Thomas Church.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the bike-sharing stations in Strasbourg, such as near Place Kléber. Head towards Rue des Grandes Arcades and follow the same path as the walking directions. You can also use the cycling paths along the river for a scenic route. Once you approach Rue Martin Luther, park your bicycle at the designated bike rack near St. Thomas Church.
