The Hospital Blockhouse Museum is located on Rue de Verdun in the center of Les Sables-d'Olonne. From the city center or the Grande Plage, it's an easy walk. Head east towards the port area; Rue de Verdun is a main street running parallel to the coast. The museum is well-signposted.

The Oléane Mobilités bus network serves Les Sables-d'Olonne. Check the Oléane Mobilités website or app for the most up-to-date routes and schedules. Several bus lines stop near the city center, from which you can walk to the museum. A single ticket costs €1.50.

If driving, be aware that parking near the museum is in a 'Zone Bleue' restricted parking area, allowing 3 hours of free parking. Several park-and-ride facilities are located on the outskirts of Les Sables-d'Olonne, with shuttle services into the city center. Consider parking at one of these and taking the shuttle to avoid parking difficulties in the center. Parking is free at Sablière and Port de Plaisance. Shuttles and buses are available from these locations to the city center.
