Discover more about Plage de la Belle Maison

Plage de la Belle Maison, or Ker Daniau, graces the rugged, untamed coastline of Île d'Yeu, south of the airfield. This secluded cove is a treasure, offering a more peaceful experience compared to the busier beaches in the south of the island. Encircled by dramatic cliffs and scattered with rocks, the beach presents an idyllic scene. The waters here are remarkably clear, lending an exotic touch to the landscape. The beach takes its name from the nearby Grotte de la Belle Maison. While the setting is perfect for relaxation and soaking in the natural beauty, it's important to note that Plage de la Belle Maison is known as one of the island's more dangerous beaches for swimming. To reach this coastal haven from Ker Bossy, take Rue de Ker Doucet, then Route de la Tonnellé, before turning left towards Ker Chauvineau. A road then veers diagonally towards the wild coast and the Belle Maison cave.
