Car
If driving, the Tunnel du Baou is accessible via the D952 road in La Palud-sur-Verdon. From the center of Provence, take the A51 motorway towards Sisteron, then merge onto the N85 towards Digne-les-Bains. Follow the D952 towards La Palud-sur-Verdon. Limited parking is available near the tunnel. Arrive early to secure a spot. Parking is free.
Public Transport
To reach Tunnel du Baou via public transport, take a train to Digne-les-Bains. From there, take the Line 16 bus towards La Palud-sur-Verdon, but check the bus schedule in advance. From La Palud-sur-Verdon, the tunnel is approximately 5 km away. You can walk (1.5 - 2 hours) or take a taxi to the tunnel. A taxi from La Palud-sur-Verdon will cost approximately €15-€20.
Taxi/Ride-Sharing
For a direct route, consider a taxi or ride-sharing service from Digne-les-Bains or La Palud-sur-Verdon. A taxi from Digne-les-Bains to Tunnel du Baou takes around 30 minutes and costs approximately €40-€60, depending on traffic.
