Getting There

• Public Transport

  From Paris, take the train from Gare du Nord (Line H) to Auvers-sur-Oise. Note that direct trains may be limited to weekends and holidays. Alternatively, take the RER C to Pontoise, then transfer to Line H to Auvers-sur-Oise. From the Auvers-sur-Oise train station, it's approximately a 20-minute walk (1.6km) to the Château d'Auvers. Follow Rue du Général de Gaulle, then turn left onto Chemin des Berthelées, where the château is located. A single train ticket from Paris to Auvers-sur-Oise costs approximately €5-6. Another option is to take the RER A to Cergy-Préfecture, then take Bus 9507 towards Parmain/Jouy-le-Comte and get off at the Mairie d'Auvers-sur-Oise stop. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk (1.2 km) to the Château. Bus fare is around €2-3.

  From the center of Auvers-sur-Oise (e.g., the Mairie or the Auvers-sur-Oise train station), the Château d'Auvers is accessible by foot. From the Mairie, walk north along Rue du Général de Gaulle, then turn left onto Chemin des Berthelées. The walk is approximately 1.2 km and takes about 15 minutes. From the train station, the walk is approximately 1.6km and takes about 20 minutes. The route is mostly flat, with a slight incline as you approach the château. There are no specific access fees for walking to the château.

• Taxi

  Taxis are available in Auvers-sur-Oise, particularly at the train station. A taxi ride from the Auvers-sur-Oise train station to the Château d'Auvers typically costs around €15-€20, and the journey takes approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. • Driving

  If driving from Paris, take the A15 towards Cergy-Pontoise, then the A115 towards Calais. Exit at Méry-sur-Oise Centre and follow signs to Auvers-sur-Oise and the Château d'Auvers. The château is located at Chemin des Berthelées, 95430 Auvers-sur-Oise. The château provides free parking for visitors. The parking is open from 8 AM to 7 PM. Note that the parking is reserved for visitors of the Château. There are 3 accessible parking spots on Rue François Mitterrand.
