The Fontaine de la Vierge, or Virgin's Fountain, is a charming and often overlooked gem located a stone's throw from the grandeur of Notre Dame Cathedral. Constructed in 1845, the fountain stands approximately 10 meters tall and features a neo-Gothic design. Its triangular base transitions into what appears as an irregular hexagon, with each angle graced by a statue of an archangel. These figures rest on small pedestals from which water gently flows. Above the base, three columns support a delicate spire, sheltering a statue of the Virgin and Child sculpted by Louis Merlieux.
