If you are in the center of Versailles near the Palace of Versailles, head southeast on Rue de l'Indépendance Américaine towards Rue de la Paroisse. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue de Saint Cloud. Turn left onto Avenue de Saint Cloud and walk straight. You will soon see the River Seine on your right. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the Palace to the Seine.
Public Transport
From the Palace of Versailles, walk to the Versailles Rive Gauche train station. Take the RER C train towards Paris and get off at the next station, which is 'Versailles Chantiers.' From there, it is a short walk to the Seine. Exit the station and turn right onto Avenue de l'Europe, then follow the signs towards the Seine, which is about a 10-minute walk.
Bicycle
You can rent a bicycle near the Palace of Versailles. Once you have your bike, head southeast on Rue de l'Indépendance Américaine, then turn left on Avenue de Saint Cloud. Follow this road, and it will lead you directly to the Seine. The ride takes approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on your speed.
