From the Palace of Versailles, exit the main gate and walk straight towards the Avenue de Paris. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Rue de l'Indépendance Américaine. Turn left onto Rue de l'Indépendance Américaine and walk until you reach the Versailles Rive Gauche train station. Catch the RER C train towards Paris and disembark at the Saint-Michel – Notre-Dame station. From there, walk towards the Seine River, then follow the riverbank until you reach the Boulevard Saint-Germain. Walk along Boulevard Saint-Germain until you find the Statue de Diderot, which is located on the side of the street.

Start at the Versailles Rive Gauche train station. Take the RER C train towards Paris. Get off at the Saint-Michel – Notre-Dame station. Once you exit the station, head towards the Seine River and follow the riverbank towards the Boulevard Saint-Germain. Walk along Boulevard Saint-Germain until you reach the location of the Statue de Diderot.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from the Palace of Versailles and head towards the Avenue de Paris. Continue until you reach Rue de l'Indépendance Américaine. Take a left and continue to the Versailles Rive Gauche train station. From there, bike along the RER C route towards Paris. After arriving at the Saint-Michel – Notre-Dame station, park your bicycle and ride along the Seine until you reach Boulevard Saint-Germain. The Statue de Diderot will be on your right.
