The Territorial Assembly in Papeete is the seat of government for French Polynesia. Built in 1960 on the former residence of Queen Pomare IV, it features a distinctive shell-like roof and is surrounded by gardens with memorial statues.

Walking
From the Papeete ferry terminal, head out and turn left onto Boulevard Pomare. Walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the Territorial Assembly. It's a large building with a flagpole.
Public Transport
From the central market (Marché de Papeete), take bus line 20 towards Faaa. Get off at the 'Hôtel de Ville' stop, about a 15-minute ride. Walk straight down Rue des Freres Colette for about 6 minutes. The Territorial Assembly will be on your left. Bus fare is approximately 110 XPF.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Papeete. A short taxi ride from the ferry terminal or downtown Papeete to the Territorial Assembly will cost approximately 1,000 XPF during the day. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your trip.
