Public Bus
From Papeete, take the public bus (TNT) towards Faaa. Ask the driver to drop you off at the stop for Hitiaa O Te Ra. This bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive, head down the main road (Route de ceinture) towards the coast. After about a 15-minute walk, you will come across a path that leads to the Arahoho Blowhole. Follow the path to enjoy the stunning views.
Bicycle Rental
If you're feeling adventurous, rent a bicycle in Papeete. Head east on Route de ceinture towards Hitiaa O Te Ra. The ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Hitiaa O Te Ra, look for signs pointing to the Arahoho Blowhole. The last part of the journey will involve walking a short trail from the roadside to the blowhole.
Walking Tour
If you're already in the vicinity of Faaurumai, you can take a scenic walking route to the Arahoho Blowhole. Start by walking along the coastal path from the local village towards the blowhole. The hike will take about 30-45 minutes. Look for local markers that guide you along the path, and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
