Walking
If you are staying in central Papeete, you can walk to Place Vai'ete. Start from the main ferry terminal (Vaiare) and head west along Boulevard Pomare IV. Continue straight for about 10 minutes, and you'll see the large park area of Place Vai'ete on your left. The park is situated right by the waterfront, offering beautiful views of the ocean.
Public Bus
To reach Place Vai'ete via public transport, find the nearest bus stop in Papeete. Board a bus heading towards the Papeete market (Marché de Papeete). The bus ride usually takes about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive at the market, disembark and walk towards Boulevard Pomare IV. Place Vai'ete will be a short 5-minute walk along the boulevard, located on your left by the waterfront.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a more direct route to Place Vai'ete, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare app available in Tahiti. Simply provide the driver with the address: 369 Boulevard de la Reine Pomare IV, Papeete 98714. The drive from the central area should take approximately 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off right at the entrance of the park.
