Getting There

• Walking

  From central Mahina, head towards the waterfront along the main road (Route de la Plage). Keep walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Avenue du Général de Gaulle. Turn left onto Avenue du Général de Gaulle and continue walking straight for another 800 meters. You will see a sign for Tapahi directing you towards a small path leading to the observation deck. Follow the path, and after a short hike of about 300 meters, you will arrive at Tapahi, which offers stunning views.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Mahina. After renting the bike, head towards Route de la Plage and cycle along the waterfront for about 1.5 kilometers. At the intersection with Avenue du Général de Gaulle, take a left and cycle straight for another 800 meters. Look for the sign directing you to Tapahi and follow the path leading up to the observation deck. The total cycling distance is about 2.6 kilometers, and it should take around 15-20 minutes depending on your pace.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  You can take a local bus from various points in Mahina. Look for the bus route that goes towards Papeete, which will stop at Avenue du Général de Gaulle. Once you disembark, head towards the direction of the intersection with Route de la Plage. Walk straight for about 300 meters until you find the path leading to Tapahi. The bus fare is usually around 200 XPF (Pacific Francs) per person. Note that the bus schedule may vary, so check the local timetable for accurate timings.
