Getting There

  • Car Rental

    If you are in Tahiti, you can rent a car from any of the rental agencies at Faa'a International Airport or from locations in Papeete. Drive east on Route 2 towards Arue. The journey is approximately 20 minutes, covering around 16 km. Follow the signs for Arue, and once you arrive in Arue, continue towards the coast where you will find Rimatu'u. Parking is available nearby.

  • Public Bus

    From Papeete, take the public bus (Ligne 1) that heads towards Arue. Buses run approximately every 30 minutes, and the fare is around 300 XPF (French Polynesian Francs). The ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Get off at the stop for Arue, and then walk towards the coast to reach Rimatu'u.

  • Taxi

    You can also take a taxi from Papeete to Rimatu'u. The taxi ride will take about 20 minutes and will cost approximately 3,500 to 4,500 XPF, depending on the time of day and traffic conditions. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
