If you are traveling by car, start from Libreville, the capital of Gabon. Take the N1 highway south towards Pointe Denis. After approximately 25 km, follow signs to the ferry terminal for Pointe Denis. Take the ferry to Pointe Denis, which costs around 2,500 CFA. Once you arrive at Pointe Denis, continue south on the coastal road for about 20 km until you reach the entrance to Pointe Pongara. Follow the signs to Pongara Lodge, which is located at the end of the road.

To reach Pongara Lodge via public transportation, begin your journey in Libreville. Take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from the central bus station headed towards Pointe Denis. The fare is approximately 1,500 CFA. Once you arrive at the ferry terminal in Pointe Denis, purchase a ferry ticket for 2,500 CFA to cross the river. After reaching Pointe Denis, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to Pointe Pongara, which is about a 20 km drive.
