If you are driving, start from the city of Libreville. Take the N1 highway heading southeast. Follow the N1 for approximately 20 kilometers. The Equator Sign will be on your right side, marked by a monument indicating the equatorial line. Look for a small parking area near the sign, where you can safely stop and take pictures.
Public Transportation
To reach the Equator Sign using public transportation, take a taxi or a bus from Libreville to Akanda. Ensure the driver knows you want to go to the Equator Sign on the N1. The fare should be around 1000-2000 CFA francs. Once you arrive at the N1, you may need to walk a short distance (about 800 meters) to reach the sign, as public transport may not drop you directly at the monument. Be cautious of traffic while walking.
