From Gudauri, head southeast on the main road (E117) towards Stepantsminda (Kazbegi). After approximately 25 km, look for signs directing you towards Juta, which will be on your left. Take the turn towards Juta and continue on this road. The road may be narrow and winding. Once you reach Juta, park your car in the village. From Juta, you will need to hike to Chaukhi Pass, which is about 8 km away.

Take a marshrutka (shared minibus) from Gudauri to Stepantsminda. Marshrutkas leave from the main road and cost around 5-10 GEL. Once you arrive in Stepantsminda, take another marshrutka or taxi to Juta. This leg may cost an additional 20-30 GEL. In Juta, you will need to hike approximately 8 km to reach Chaukhi Pass.
