    From Gudauri, drive east on the E117 towards Tbilisi. After approximately 15 km, look for a sign indicating the turn-off to Tkarsheti.     The most common approach to Ortsveri is from Stepantsminda. Begin by hiking to the Gergeti Trinity Church, which takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. From there, continue towards the Meteo Station (Bethlemi Hut) at 3650 meters. This segment takes about 3-4 hours. From the Meteo Station, cross the Gergeti Glacier (requires ropes, glacier gear, and experience) to reach the base of Ortsveri. The climb to the summit from here takes another 4-5 hours. Glacier crossing requires caution due to crevasses.
