Car
If you are driving from Kutaisi, take the E60 highway towards Tbilisi. After approximately 10 kilometers, take the exit toward Motsameta. Continue on the road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the village of Motsameta. Follow the signs to Gelati Academy, which is located near the Gelati Monastery. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of local parking regulations.
Public Transportation
To reach Gelati Academy by public transport, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Kutaisi city center to Motsameta. Marshrutkas frequently depart from the central bus station and the fare is typically around 1 GEL. Once you arrive in Motsameta, it’s a short walk (approximately 15 minutes) to Gelati Academy. Follow the signs to the Gelati Monastery, and you will find the academy adjacent to it.

If you are already in Motsameta, you can walk to Gelati Academy from the village center. Head towards the Gelati Monastery, which is well-signposted. The walk should take around 10 minutes. As you approach the monastery, you will see Gelati Academy nearby. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
