Getting There

• Public Bus

  From Kutaisi, head to the main bus station, located near the city center. You can reach the bus station by walking 10-15 minutes from the Kutaisi Central Market. At the bus station, look for buses heading toward Ambrolauri. The journey takes approximately 2-3 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Ambrolauri, the museum is a short walk from the bus stop. Head straight down the main road and take the first left; the museum will be on your right.

• Shared Taxi (Marshrutka)

  At the Kutaisi main bus station, you can find marshrutkas (shared taxis) heading to Ambrolauri. These are smaller vans that depart when full. The ride takes about 2 hours. After arriving in Ambrolauri, exit the marshrutka and walk straight for about 5 minutes. Keep an eye out for local signage directing you to the Ambrolauri Museum of Fine Arts, which will be on your right side.

• Walking from Ambrolauri Bus Station

  If you take a bus or marshrutka to Ambrolauri, after disembarking at the bus station, you can walk to the museum. Follow the main road (G593) leading into the town, then take a right at the first intersection. Continue walking for about 10 minutes, and you will find the Ambrolauri Museum of Fine Arts on your right. Look for the distinctive building with art displays outside.
