Shaori Reservoir, located in the Ambrolauri Municipality, is the largest reservoir in the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region. Situated at an altitude of 1100-1200 meters, it was created in the 1950s by damming the Shaori River. The reservoir stretches 7.1 kilometers long and 2.7 kilometers wide, with a maximum depth of 14.5 meters, holding 90 million cubic meters of water. Shaori is surrounded by the Nakerala Mountain Range, offering picturesque views and hiking opportunities. The mixed deciduous forests surrounding the lake are particularly stunning in autumn when the foliage reflects vibrant colors in the water.
