Getting There

• Public Bus

  From Kutaisi city center, head to the Kutaisi Central Bus Station (located near the main square). Look for buses that are heading towards Jimastaro or Sataplia. The bus ride will take approximately 25-30 minutes. Make sure to inform the driver that you are going to Sataplia Managed Reserve. Once you arrive at the nearest stop, you may need to walk for about 15 minutes to reach the entrance of the reserve.

• Marshrutka (Minibus)

  At the Kutaisi Central Bus Station, you can also catch a marshrutka to Jimastaro. These minibuses are typically faster and more frequent than regular buses. After about 20-25 minutes of travel, get off at Jimastaro. From there, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the Sataplia Managed Reserve. It should take you around 15 minutes on foot to reach the reserve entrance.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Kutaisi. Simply ask the driver to take you to Sataplia Managed Reserve. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the price before starting your journey to avoid any misunderstandings.

• Bicycle Rental

  For a more adventurous trip, consider renting a bicycle in Kutaisi. You can find rental shops near the city center. Once you have a bike, head towards the M111 road that leads to Jimastaro. Follow the road for about 10 kilometers, which will take roughly 30-40 minutes depending on your cycling speed. Look for signs indicating the Sataplia Managed Reserve as you approach.
