Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from any location in Kvemo Kartli, head towards the Tbilisi highway (E60). Follow the signs for Tbilisi and continue on the highway for approximately 50 kilometers. As you approach Tbilisi, look for signs directing you to the city center. Once in Tbilisi, take the exit toward Shota Rustaveli Avenue. Continue straight until you reach 17 Shota Rustaveli Ave, where Rustaveli National Theatre is located. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that fees may apply.

• Public Transportation - Marshrutka

  From any town in Kvemo Kartli, you can take a marshrutka (minibus) heading to Tbilisi. Look for marshrutkas at local bus stations, and confirm the destination with the driver. The ride typically takes about 1-1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Tbilisi's central bus station, transfer to a local bus or taxi to reach Rustaveli National Theatre. You may take bus number 37 from the station, which will drop you off near the theatre, or opt for a taxi for convenience, which should cost around 5-10 GEL.

• Public Transportation - Train

  You can also take a train from Kvemo Kartli to Tbilisi. Check the local train schedule for departures from your nearest station. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Tbilisi Central Station, exit the station and take a taxi or a local bus to reach the theatre. A taxi will cost around 5-10 GEL, while local buses may take a bit longer but are more economical.
