Walking
If you are starting your journey from the historic sulfur baths area in Old Tbilisi, walk towards the bridge known as the 'Peace Bridge'. Cross the bridge, and as you reach the other side, continue straight ahead. You will come across the Rike Park, which is a beautiful green space. Walk through the park, and keep an eye out for the Native Language Monument, which is located at coordinates PR23+6H4, Tbilisi, nestled within the park area. This walk is approximately 15-20 minutes and is quite scenic.
Public Transportation (Bus)
If you prefer public transport, head to the nearest bus stop from your location in Old Tbilisi. Look for buses heading towards 'Rike Park'. You can take bus number 29. The bus ride will take about 10 minutes. After getting off at the 'Rike Park' stop, walk towards the park entrance, and you will find the Native Language Monument within the park grounds. The bus fare is around 1 GEL.
Tbilisi Funicular
For a unique experience, consider taking the Tbilisi Funicular from the Mtatsminda Park area. You can take a short walk or a taxi to the Funicular station. Once at the top, enjoy panoramic views of the city. From there, you can walk down the hill towards Rike Park. The total journey from the Funicular station to the monument will take approximately 30 minutes, including a leisurely walk. The Funicular ticket costs around 2.5 GEL one way.
