    Car

    If you are traveling by car from Meskheti, head southwest on the P5 road towards Akhaltsikhe. Continue driving for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the area around the Atskuri Fortress. Look for signs indicating the fortress location. Once you arrive at the coordinates P5H8+78F, you will find parking available near the fortress. Please note that there may be a small fee for parking.

    Public Transportation

    To reach Atskuri Fortress via public transportation, take a marshrutka (minibus) from Meskheti to Akhaltsikhe. Marshrutkas typically depart from the central bus station in Meskheti. After about a 30-minute ride, you should arrive in Akhaltsikhe. From there, you can catch a local taxi or another marshrutka heading towards Vale. Request to be dropped off at the Atskuri Fortress. The total cost for the marshrutka should be around 5-10 GEL, and the taxi fare may vary between 10-20 GEL depending on negotiation.

    Walking

    If you prefer to walk from Akhaltsikhe, once you arrive in the city, head towards the P5 road and follow it towards Vale. The fortress is approximately 4 kilometers away from the center of Akhaltsikhe. The walk will take around 1 hour depending on your pace. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry enough water, as the path may not have many facilities along the way.
