Be cautious of the winding roads and ensure your vehicle is in good condition. There are no tolls on this route.

From the center of Mestia, you can take a minibus (marshrutka) heading towards the Koruldi Lakes. The minibus departs from the main square near the Mestia bus station. Make sure to ask the driver if the route includes the Koruldi Lakes, as some may only go partway. The fare is usually around 5 GEL. The trip will take about 30-40 minutes, depending on road conditions. Once you reach the drop-off point, you may need to hike for about 30 minutes to reach the lakes, as the minibus will not take you all the way there.
