From Mtskheta, drive towards the Armazi Citadel by heading southeast on the main road (E117) for about 3 km. Follow the signs to Armazi. You will turn right onto a smaller road just before reaching the river. There is a small parking area near the entrance to the citadel. Note that parking may be limited, especially during peak tourist times.

Public Transportation
To reach Armazi Citadel using public transportation from Mtskheta, start by taking a mini-bus (marshrutka) from the central bus station in Mtskheta heading towards Tbilisi. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Armazi stop, which is approximately 2 km from the citadel. Once you get off, follow the road signs to the citadel, which is a short walk uphill. Ensure you have some cash for the marshrutka fare, which is usually around 1 GEL.

If you prefer to walk from Mtskheta, head east from the town center towards the river, then follow the path that leads to the base of the hill where Armazi Citadel is located.
