From Mtskheta city center, head southwest on the main road (Mtkvari St.) towards the river. Continue along this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach a fork. Keep left to stay on Mtkvari St. Follow the signs to Shiomgvime Monastery. After about 3 kilometers, you will see the entrance to the monastery on your right. There is parking available near the entrance, which is usually free.

From Mtskheta city center, find the bus stop located near the main square. Look for a minibus (marshrutka) heading towards the village of Jvari or any bus that mentions Shiomgvime Monastery. Board the marshrutka; the fare is typically around 1 GEL. After approximately 15-20 minutes, ask the driver to drop you off at Shiomgvime Monastery. You may need to walk a short distance from the drop-off point to reach the monastery entrance.
