Car
From Pshavi, take the main road heading east towards the town of Mtskheta. After approximately 30 kilometers, turn left onto the E117 highway towards Gori. Continue on E117 for about 40 kilometers until you reach the exit for Uplistsikhe. Follow the signs for Uplistsikhe Complex Road. The entrance to the site will be on your right. Parking is available near the entrance, and there may be a small fee for parking.
Public Transportation
From Pshavi, take a marshrutka (minibus) to Mtskheta, which is located about 30 kilometers away. Once in Mtskheta, you may need to transfer to another marshrutka heading to Gori. Upon reaching Gori, look for a marshrutka that goes directly to Uplistsikhe. The ride from Gori to Uplistsikhe will take about 15-20 minutes. There might be a small fee for each leg of the journey; expect to pay around 5-10 GEL for the marshrutkas. Be sure to confirm the marshrutka’s final destination before boarding.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi from Pshavi to Uplistsikhe. The drive will take approximately 45 minutes. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, as prices can vary. Expect to pay around 50-70 GEL for the trip, depending on the time of day and your negotiation skills.
