Car
From Mestia, take the E117 road south towards Zugdidi. After approximately 40 km, turn onto the S3 road towards Sachkhere. Continue on S3 for about 30 km until you reach the vicinity of Sachkhere. Follow local signs to Modinakhe Castle, which is located about 8 km from the center of Sachkhere. Be prepared for some unpaved roads as you approach the castle.

Public Transportation
From Mestia, board a marshrutka (minibus) heading to Zugdidi. Once you arrive in Zugdidi, transfer to a marshrutka bound for Sachkhere. The journey from Zugdidi to Sachkhere takes approximately 1.5 hours. Upon arrival in Sachkhere, you can hire a taxi or look for a local bus to take you the remaining 8 km to Modinakhe Castle. Be aware that taxis may cost around 10-15 GEL for this short trip.
