    From the Oberau train station, follow signs towards Farchant and the Wasserfall Rundweg. Cross the Werdenfelser Straße and the Loisachbrücke. Turn right onto the paved path towards Farchant. Before the second cattle grid and a right-hand bend, leave the road and walk straight towards the mountain. After a few minutes through a pine forest, you'll reach a sandy area. From there, the waterfall is a 5-minute walk for experienced hikers.

    Take the train or bus to Oberau Bahnhof. From the station, follow the walking directions to the Wasserfall. Regionalverkehr Oberbayern (RVO) buses connect Oberau with Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Oberammergau. A day ticket on the RVO bus costs around €5 for adults.

  • Driving

    Drive to Oberau and park at the Wanderparkplatz an der Loisachbrücke. From the parking lot, follow the signs for the Wasserfall Rundweg. Cross the Loisachbrücke and turn right onto the path towards Farchant. Before the second cattle grid, turn left towards the mountain. Follow the signs to the waterfall. Parking is free at the Wanderparkplatz an der Loisachbrücke.
