Parking is available at Wanderparkplatz Lauferbrunnen on Schömberger Straße, approximately 1.5 km (15 minutes walk) from the tree. Parking is free. Note that parking at Wanderparkplatz Teuchelwald in Schömberger Straße is limited to 3 hours Mon-Fri due to the nearby medical center.

From Freudenstadt Stadtbahnhof, take bus line 12, 19, or 7266 towards Loßburg. Get off at the 'Loßburg ZOB' bus stop. From there, it's approximately a 6 km taxi ride to Großvatertanne, costing around €23-€29. Alternatively, from Loßburg ZOB, follow local signs and hike approximately 1.5 hours to Großvatertanne.
