Start your journey at Dresden Hauptbahnhof (main train station). From there, take the S-Bahn S1 towards Schöna. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Get off at Bad Schandau station. Once you arrive at Bad Schandau, exit the station and head towards the main road (B172). Turn left and walk for about 10 minutes until you reach Rudolf-Sendig-Straße. The Historic Elevator will be on your right.

If you're near the Dresden Neustadt train station, take the S-Bahn S1 in the direction of Schöna. This train also stops at Bad Schandau. The travel time is approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at Bad Schandau, exit the station and make your way to Rudolf-Sendig-Straße, which is a 10-minute walk from the station. The Historic Elevator is located along this street.

From Dresden, you can also take a bus to Bad Schandau. Check the local bus schedules to find a direct route. Once you reach Bad Schandau, follow the signs to the town center. Walk towards Rudolf-Sendig-Straße, and you will find the Historic Elevator approximately 15 minutes from the bus drop-off point.
