Getting There

  • Public Transport - Tram

    If you are starting from Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (main train station), head to the tram stop located just outside the station. Take tram line 706 towards 'Kaiserswerth' or tram line 707 towards 'Düsseldorf University'. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at 'Universität'. From the tram stop, walk straight down Universitätsstraße for approximately 5 minutes. The Botanical Garden will be on your right at Universitätsstraße 1.

    From Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, you can also take bus line 730 towards 'Südpark'. Board the bus at the bus terminal right next to the train station. After about 15 minutes, get off at 'Universität'. Once you exit the bus, walk straight along Universitätsstraße for about 5 minutes. The Botanical Garden will be located on your right at Universitätsstraße 1.

    If you are near the city center, you can walk to the Botanical Garden. Start from the famous Königsallee (the shopping street). Head north towards the 'Hofgarten' park. Enter the park and walk through it heading towards the university area. Once you exit the park, continue walking straight on Universitätsstraße for about 15-20 minutes. The Botanical Garden will be on your left at Universitätsstraße 1.
