Get off at 'Köln, Neumarkt' bus stop. Walk towards Alter Markt, which will be about a 10-minute walk. The Schmitz Column is located in the center of the Alter Markt square.

From Bonn, take Tram line 66 headed towards Köln. Alight at the 'Köln, Neumarkt' stop. From the tram stop, walk towards Alter Markt, which is about a 10-minute walk. You will find the Schmitz Column in the middle of the square.

If you are already in central Bonn, head towards the Rhine River promenade and follow the signs to the Bonn ferry terminal. Take the ferry across the Rhine River to the Köln side (Cologne).
