From Essen Hauptbahnhof (the main train station), take the S6 train towards Essen Steele. Travel for about 3 stops (approximately 10 minutes) and get off at Steele. Once you arrive at Steele, transfer to bus line 184 towards Altenessen. Ride the bus for about 5 stops (approximately 15 minutes) until you reach the stop called 'Burgstraße.' After disembarking, walk down Burgstraße for about 5 minutes. Altendorf Castle will be on your left at Burgstraße 2.

Continue on Altendorfer Straße until you reach the intersection with Burgstraße. Turn left onto Burgstraße and walk for about 15-20 minutes. Altendorf Castle will be on your right at Burgstraße 2.
