Public Transport

If you're starting from Essen Hauptbahnhof (Essen Central Station), head to the tram stop located just outside the station. Take tram line 107 in the direction of 'Gelsenkirchen Buerer Str.' and get off at the 'Hügel Park' stop. The tram journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you exit the tram, you will see the park entrance directly in front of you.

Walking

From the city center, head towards Altstadt (Old Town). Walk along Gladbecker Strasse until you reach the junction with Schützenbahn. Turn left onto Schützenbahn and continue straight until you reach the entrance of Hügel Park. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace.

Bicycle

For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing services available in Essen. Start from the city center and head towards the Altstadt. Follow the cycle paths along Gladbecker Strasse and Schützenbahn. Once you reach the park area, you'll find bike racks available at the entrance. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes.
